Healthy, safe and well cared for — every day. Here's how we manage allergies and medical needs, sun safety, illness, security, nutrition and hygiene across our centres.

Allergies & medical needs
- All allergies and dietary requirements must be documented on enrolment.
- Our centre is nut-aware.
- Individual management plans are required for children with anaphylaxis or asthma.
- All staff are trained in first aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis emergency response.
- Emergency action plans are displayed in each room and the kitchen.

Sun safety
- Children must wear a broad-brimmed hat for all outdoor play.
- SPF 50+ sunscreen is applied before outdoor activities.
- We follow a strict No Hat, No Play policy.
- Outdoor play is limited during high UV periods (11am–3pm in summer).
- Parents are asked to provide a named hat that stays at the centre.

Illness & exclusion
- To protect all children and staff, we ask that unwell children remain at home.
- Children must be excluded for 24 hours after a fever or vomiting episode.
- A medical certificate is required for return after any infectious illness.
- Medication can only be administered with written parental consent and must be in its original packaging with a pharmacy label.
- If your child becomes unwell during the day, we will contact you to arrange collection as soon as possible.

Security
- Our centre is designed with your child's safety in mind.
- Secure entry systems, CCTV monitoring, fully fenced outdoor play areas and visitor sign-in procedures help provide a safe and secure environment.
- Daily safety inspections are completed to ensure all learning spaces remain safe for children.

Nutrition
- Children enjoy fresh, nutritious meals and snacks prepared daily in our commercial kitchen.
- Our seasonal menus are designed to support healthy growth and development while catering for allergies, cultural preferences and dietary requirements.
- We encourage positive eating habits and mealtimes that are enjoyable and relaxed.

Infection control
- Maintaining a clean and healthy environment is a priority.
- Toys, learning resources and high-touch surfaces are cleaned and sanitised regularly throughout the day using strict infection control procedures.
- Our team follows best-practice hygiene standards to help reduce the spread of illness and keep children healthy.
