Child Care Subsidy (CCS)
Most families at Growth Mindset are eligible for the Australian Government's Child Care Subsidy. It's paid directly to us and comes straight off your invoice, so you only pay the gap.
Eligibility
Who can claim
How much you receive depends on your combined family income, the hours of recognised activity you and your partner complete, and the type of care your child attends.
- Your child is 13 or under and not attending secondary school.
- Your child meets immunisation requirements.
- You (or your partner) meet residency requirements.
- You are responsible for paying the fees at your centre.
How to claim
Four steps to get set up
- 1
Set up myGov and Centrelink
Create a myGov account and link your Centrelink online account. You'll need proof of identity for you and your child.

Make your CCS claim
Complete the Child Care Subsidy claim in Centrelink online. You'll be asked about your family income estimate and activity hours.

Confirm your enrolment
Once your child starts with us, we submit a Complying Written Arrangement. Confirm it in your Centrelink account so the subsidy can begin.

Subsidy applied to your fees
CCS is paid directly to us and deducted from your invoice — you only pay the remaining gap fee.
Activity test
Subsidised hours per fortnight
Recognised activity includes paid work, self-employment, study, training, volunteering and looking for work.
