Mission

When you walk into a Growth Mindset Early Learning Centre you will immediately see what makes us unique.

Our educational resources have been carefully selected to align with the growth mindset philosophy. A child’s ability and intelligence is not fixed, and so the resources we use to educate our children should not be either. Our resources encourage children to use their imagination and creativity. When the rules and limitations are taken away, so is the pressure to produce a finished product or outcome.

Music is an important part of the growth mindset early learning philosophy. Children learn through song and play, but also develop fine motor skills and sight reading from learning notation and playing an instrument. A 2016 study at the University of Southern California’s Brain and Creativity Institute found that musical experiences in childhood can accelerate brain development. Every child at our centres is introduced to piano and it is our goal that every child leaves with the ability to play basic piano pieces and read musical notation.

When you walk out into our outdoor playground you will notice something surprising. The lack of fixed playground equipment. All of our outdoor playground equipment is moveable. We have done this on purpose to encourage children to be creative and take ownership of their playspace, because at the end of the day it is their playground. We want our children to be creative and allow their imaginations to dictate what the playspace will look like. A child at growth mindset will come to school every week to a new environment and playspace.

Healthy eating is essential for your child’s good health, growth and development. Healthy eating in childhood means that they will have less chance of developing chronic diseases when they are older. It also means that they will feel better, look better and enjoy life more. Our unique menu has been designed to ensure that children are getting a nutritious diet that will help give them energy, and sustain their learning and play throughout the day.

Most importantly our educators are what sets us apart from other childcare centres. The Growth Mindset philosophy is not just about children being lifelong learners but everyone being lifelong learners. Our educators understand that each child is unique and brings to the centre their own talents, temperaments and skills.

At Growth Mindset Early Learning we have developed a holistic approach that utilises a healthy balance of closed and open ended learning programs that cater for the different children we have under our care.
